User Manager

The User Manager is an interface available to board moderators and the board administrator. Through the User Manager, it is possible to add, remove, and manipulate user accounts. Additionally, in Discus Pro, the user self-registration feature is configured and administered through the User Manager. The following pages describe in greater depth the features in the User Manager:

  • Manipulating User Accounts: Reference document describing the "User Management" features of Discus, including filtering, deleting accounts, moving and copying accounts to other groups, suspending users, generating a mailing list, and editing existing user accounts.

  • Adding Users: Two methods for adding users to groups are explored, including adding individual users through the "Add User" tab and creating many users at once with the "Add User List" function.

  • User Self-Registration: Documentation on the user self-registration functions of Discus Pro. This covers configuring a group for self-registration and approving and rejecting queued user applications.

  • Self-Registration Setup Tutorial: A tutorial for the Board Administrator that explains the steps needed to get user self-registration enabled for a discussion board. A separate tutorial for ordinary moderators is provided on how to set up groups to accept new registrations once the feature has been enabled board-wide.
