Topic Manager - Reordering Topics and Categories
The Topic Manager allows the board administrator to change the order of topics and categories as displayed on a board's topics page. Since topics and categories are intermingled, they are reordered in a single operation (i.e., it is not necessary to reorder topics and categories separately).
Go to Topic Manager and click the "Topics" tab.
In the "Order" column, type in numbers to represent the new order that is desired. When reordering items, the following time-saving tips can be used:
You can use decimals and negative numbers to quickly insert one item between two others. You do not need to go through and make sure that the ordering is set up as 1, 2, 3, ...
Click the "Rev" hyperlink to reverse the current order of the items in the list. This simply multiplies the existing numbers by negative one (-1) since negative numbers are permitted and mathematically this results in reversing of the current order.
Click the "A-Z" hyperlink to put the items in alphabetical order.
Click the "Z-A" hyperlink to put the items in reverse alphabetical order (note that this does the same thing as if you were to click "A-Z" and then click "Rev").
Click the "Date" hyperlink to put the items in order of last post. If you have categories, since categories do not ever have posts, the categories will always be at the end of the list.
Click on the reorder icon (flowchart) in the last row of the topics table, just to the left of the "(marked)" text. The page will save and you will see "Note: Successfully reordered topics" at the top.
