Options Manager -- Display of Profiles These options are set from the Profiles tab of the Options Manager interface. These settings control how user profiles are displayed in the user interface. Your settings here do not make any changes to the profiles themselves. Empty Fields: An empty field is a profile field where a user has not provided a response. Your choices are to display such empty fields as "Display field name with no answer" (which displays the field name) or "Do not display field name." Hidden Fields: A hidden field is a profile field where a user has possibly provided a response, but has configured that response to be hidden. Your choices are to display such empty fields as "Display field name with text (Hidden)" or "Do not display field name." Show moderator profile with matching username in unsuccessful user search: If a visitor attempts to retrieve the profile of a registered user, and that profile does not exist, an error message will be generated. If this box is checked and such an unsuccessful search for a user account occurs, Discus Pro will attempt to locate a moderator with that username, and display that moderator's profile instead. (If no moderator profile with that username is found, the usual error message will be displayed as well.) This feature is useful in conjunction with the "promote" user feature, where a promoted user will no longer have a user profile but will now have a moderator profile.
