Springtime in our Profession

Well, it is springtime here in the great Northwest.  The orchards are flowering, the grass is turning green, and the snow is melting from the mountains.  I see signs of beauty and new life all around.  In many ways springtime reminds me of a national convention.  So many people provide tremendous energy that inevitably revitalizes many.  It is so wonderful to gather with friends and people who you don't know all under one roof.  The friendships developed, rekindled and the information shared can't help but to have a positive impact on educators, kids and our school systems.  Personally, I always feel a renewed energy to keep doing what I enjoy doing while also challenging myself with new directions, new projects and other educational challenges.

If you were one of the people who contributed to this convention, congratulations and also, thanks from all of us who were able to participate.  For those of you who weren't able to attend the conference, PELINKS is bringing a very small part of the convention to you.  We have replaced the technology section with a convention highlight section.  In this section, you will find several summaries of sessions that our publisher was able to attend. I hope that in the future, you will be able to attend one of the many conferences where Physical Educators gather to share, challenge and re-energize each other.
