I'd like to know how current graduates have had handle teaching a Health class and how well they were prepared to do so. It seems like something that most college programs dont have a big emphasis on the actually teaching of this subject even though it is something many physical educators have to do.

Hi Ben,
I graduated in '04 if you call that recent, but I was thrown into teaching middle school health--and there was no curriculum to speak of, so myself and another new hire developed it.
My teacher education program did cover a lot in Health (it was my minor) so I feel I was a little more prepared than most. I think a big key is to find resources--or text that you can follow along with and create lessons from. That's where we started and we are progressing just fine!
