Physical Focus Curriculum

The Physical Focus curriculum is a great program. Last summer we trained
over 400 middle school teachers in it. There are 3 things about the curricula
that might interest you.

1. You can buy one, two or all three of the Physical Focus books from
Mirror Publishing. There is a book for each the 6th, 7th and 8th grades.
The curricula are progressive in nature and each of the curriculum books
is different. Each of the curriculum books cost $75. The address of
Mirror Publishing is Box 1708, Emporia, KS 66801.

Some of the units include fitness games, rhythms, frisbee, floor hockey,
self-defense, speedball, volleyball, fencing, outdoor games, etc. The
units are 2 weeks in length. The books have a unit outline for each unit,
as well as a daily lesson plan including a description of all of the
activities.

2. You can come to a training of the Physical Focus curriculum during the
summer. The dates for these will follow. We train the participants on
all 3 of the curriculum in a 2 day workshop. The books are sold to
the participants at a reduced price at the workshop. Last year the
workshops cost $100 to attend. The entire workshop is activity based. If
you came to a workshop, get ready for a workout!!! We cover almost every
activity that is in the 3 books in the 2 days!!! The dates of the
workshops at Emporia State University follow:

May 30, May 31 and June 1
June 12, 13, 14
July 26,27,28

3. You can bring a workshop to your district or state. The cost of this
is $1500 plus travel and expenses for three trainers. The participants
would have to purchase the books on top of this amount.

I hope this helps. If anyone wants me to send them further info on this
let me know.
