Physical education teacher at Ayden Elementary School for the past 24 years. I am also the First Responder for emergencies, A Certified CPR Instructor, the schools Sys-op, webmaster, and IMS person. I teach evening computer technology courses at Pitt Community College.I graduated from East Carolina University. I played football and wrestled there. I was also priviledged to be able to help with the girl's gymnastics team (which they don't have anymore). Before becoming a teacher I was a clown and magician. I traveled with the Ronald McDonald show doing the opening magic show and playing Professor and Grimace. I still make balloon animals for my students as rewards. I have acted in summer stock, outdoor dramas, local commercials, professional and local theaters and have worked with Kim Zimmer and Grant Goodeve. I have coached football, wrestling, track and girl's softball. I have been married for 24 years and have a teenage daughter. Hobbies include: hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, computers, collecting old books and memorabilia on gymnastics and physical education. Prized possessions are an 1827 mint copy of The elements of gymnastics for boys and of calisthenics for young ladies by Gustavus Hamilton and an inscribed/autographed 1879 copy of Gymnastique Pratique by Napolean Laisne.
