The Ball Dynamics CD-ROM "Activities for Kids (Pre - 6)"
Review by Debra D'Acquisto,

The Ball Dynamics CD-ROM program "Activities for Kids (Pre - 6)" features numerous common childrens games and activities that emphasizes use of the Gymnic ball. Game and activities are categorized according to age groups, 3 - 4 yr. old, 5 - 7 yr. old, 7 - 9 yr. old and 9 - 11 yr old. Within each category, age group appropriate themes, directions and rules and skill development are clearly explained and beautifully illustrated.

Specific to the 3 - 4 yr. old activities, the ball is frequently used as a dynamic stool so as to experience whole-body balance while moving through various ranges of motion. Creativity in play is strongly encouraged. The 5 - 7 yr. old games require more complex tasks like disassociation of right and left extremities and negotiating changes of support surfaces. Interest and motivation is kept high by using the Gymnic ball as a balance building locomotive tool. Progressive integration of the visual, tactile and vestibular systems aid in the development of the 7 - 9 yr. old activities. Sports action generated games illustrated in clear, easy to follow directions and graphics make the actual working with the Gymnic ball an inviting and a highly stimulating experience. The 9 - 11 yr. old activities continue to strengthen multiple muscle groups, enhance skill development and perform more complex tasks according to the greater complexity of directions given. Working with the Gymnic balls creates an automatic atmosphere of fun while challenging the body to perform movements related to strength, to flexibility, to the sensory system and for endurance.

My overall impression of the Activities for Kids program is one of delight because 1) the ball offers endless movement possibilities, 2) the ball is fun to use and has proven to be a credible training tool and 3) the program outlines each activity in an easy to follow format.
