Participate in a Pilot of
National Board Certification
Portfolio Entries!
Candidates applying for National Board Certification complete a two-part assessment 1) a portfolio consisting of six entries and 2) four assessment center exercises. The portfolio entries are based on the NBPTS Standards. They are designed to reflect activities that teachers engage in naturally during their workday and they enable teachers to sample their practice and to reflect on that practice through written commentaries. The National Board is currently developing portfolio entries for three new certificates.
