We will also cover strategies for including these technology products in a physical education standards-based program. October 3, 2005 4-6 PM Clarion Riverside Hotel Rochester, New York Dr. Bonnie Mohnsen is the CEO of Bonnie's Fitware, Inc. Bonnie was a physical education teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 13 years. She has worked as a Physical Education Consultant for the Los Angeles County Office of Education, Orange County Department of Education, and the Montebello Unified School District. Bonnie received her Ph.D. in 1984 from USC in Physical Education and Educational Administration with computer programming as her foreign language. Since 1984, Bonnie has presented at over 250 workshops/inservices on topics ranging from Curriculum Development and Instructional Strategies to Technology. Bonnie is one of the contributing authors for the Physical Education Sourcebook and the author of Using Technology in Physical Education, Building a Quality Physical Education Program (Grades 6-12), Strengthening Your Health and Physical Education Program Through Technology, Strengthening Your Physical Education Program Through Grading and Assessment, and Teaching Middle School Physical Education. Bonnie is also the editor of NASPE's Concepts of Physical Education: What Every Student Needs to Know, an important follow up document to the National Standards for Physical Education and The New Leadership Paradigm for Physical Education: What We Need to Lead. Bonnie was a member of the California Physical Education Framework Writing Committee, the California Model Curriculum Standards Vignette Writing Committee and the California Program Quality Review Writing Committee for Physical Education. Most recently, Bonnie was name the 1997 California, Southwest District, and National Physical Education Administrator of the Year.
