From Dr. Ruth J. Nearing - Position Available: Assistant/Associate Professor of Physical Education Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in PreK-6 physical education pedagogy and rhythms/dance. Additional teaching responsibilities will include other program areas specific to departmental needs. Responsibilities also include ability to teach and/or perform effectively, continued involvement with scholarly achievements or research, continued preparation and study, contribution to student growth, and development and service to the university and community. Summer school employment possible. Qualifications/experience: Ph.D. or Ed.D. required at the time of appointment with a minimum of one graduate degree in physical education. A minimum of three years public school teaching experience in grades PreK-6 physical education is required. Applicant must have demonstrated proficiency in teaching with imbedded technology, have demonstrated scholarly activities, and have demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons of culturally diverse backgrounds.
