Adapted - I am currently a PE major yet have not received much input regarding actual current implementation of inclusion guidelines in public schools. To what degree are physical educators required to adjust their programs to fit the needs of a student w/ a disability? Please answer in the forum.
Coaching - Is the "3 sport athlete" still out there in the High School World? When I was in High School it was considered a privilege to play 3 sports in High School. Now I see coaches telling their 3 sport athletes that they must chose a sport to focus on and to forget the others if they want to excel. In my mind wouldn't you want them to play different sports to stay in shape,to be a better all around athlete and so they don't get burned out from the sport and quit? Please share in the forum.
Elementary - The C.L.A.S.S. Self-Defense program a self-defense P.E. curriculum that works, and is age appropriate for grades 3-8.   Health, Fitness & Nutrition - Parents are letting their children get out of hand when it comes to eating. Kids should be exercising and parents should be monitoring what there kids eat. What are some of your ideas to stop this problem. Please share in the forum.
Interdisciplinary - I have a question for those in the PE profession. In my classes we have been discussing obesity among children and adolescents and how those kids that are overweight feel and perform in PE. The inclusion of an "Alternative PE" was offered as a possibility for those kids that struggle physically and emotionally in regular PE. "Alternative PE" would be a more specialized class that tends to the physical needs of obese children. I was wondering what PE teachers thought of this idea and if they have ever heard of or experienced this type of PE? Please share.
Secondary - I have been observing classes in secondary PE and my teacher only uses captains to pick the teams in gym class. The same girls and guys are picked first every time and the same students are left waiting on the line, begging for their name to be called. I am not sure how you guys feel? Not only does this seem old fashioned, but I believe there are several other ways of choosing teams without causing embarrassment to almost half the class. What are your ways or ideas of avoiding this in class? Please share in the forum.
Technology - Is there a lack of good sportsmanship at your school? Are there cases of child/parent/coach aggressiveness and/or violence involving sports? What has been done to stop these problems? Do you think that the actions, and taunting, in college and professional sports are at the root of the problems? Please share your experiences. Please share in the forum.
