Wii: Has anyone attempted to use the Wii system for adaptive physical education? We are going to write a grant for the equipment, and wanted some feedback to include on our rationale! Thanks! Please share in the forum.   TOO EARLY TO WEIGHT LIFT?: When do you fell it is too early to start children in physical training? Now a days fathers have their sons lifting and running and on diets at the age of 10. What does everyone think about this? Please share in the forum.   REWARDING KIDS THAT TRY: In one of my classes i have a handful of kids that are disruptive and can't seem to do what they are asked. I feel bad, because there are kids in the class that work hard and do what they are asked. However because of the other students (who are disruptive,) I feel they aren;t getting what they deserve. What ideas if any would you have to either reward or try to seperate the good kids? Please share in the forum.   ARE YOU COMFORTABLE TEACHING HEALTH? Some teachers/students I have spoken to have said that they sometimes feel uncomfortable teaching health because they do not think that they do not have a deep enough training background to fully cover the lessons. Anybody else have this problem? Please share in the forum.   APPROPRIATE DRESS IN PE: I know that dress code is a huge issue in Physical Education. Do you think school uniforms should be required? If so, how could one go about funding uniforms for students incase they could not afford the cost themselves? If not, what dress code policy have you found works well for your classes? Please share in the forum.   STUDENT CHOICE IN PE CLASS: Should students be given a choice of activities to participate in during class? When I was in high school, every once in awhile our teachers would have a day where we could choose to walk on the track or play a game like softball. Most of the girls would walk the track because it was easy and required little effort. Is it a good idea for teachers to do this? Please share in the forum.   CLEANING HEART RATE MONITORS: Does anyone use the Polar E600 heart rate monitors? I love the technology, but have run into issues with cleaning them between every class. Washing in the locker room sink is timely and the boys travel to a different locker room across the school. Currently, the students use a baby wipe to clean. Unfortunately this is costly, so I'm searching for ideas. Please help! Please share in the forum.
