49 At+my+last+Elementary+assignment+we+combined+the+Physical+Education%2c+Art+and+Music+classes+into+a+grade+level+assembly%2e++We+introduced+ourselves%2c+talked+about+some+highlights+for+the+year+and+then+did+some+type+of+movement+activity+with+the+entire+group%2e++We+did+this+for+the+first+three+days+of+school%2e++Also%2c+we+only+did+this+type+of+activity+with+the+2%2d5+grade%2e++For+the+K+and+1st+grade+we+went+to+their+individual+classrooms%2e++This+worked+out+for+us+to+help+with+things+that+come+up+the+first+few+days+of+school+like+new+students%2c+parent+concerns%2c+long+lines+in+the+office+and+bus+problems%2e++It+also+gave+the+grade+levels+an+extra+half+hour+before+anything+started+for+the+day%2e++We+worked+very+well+for+us%2e
217 We+introduce+ourselves%2c+go+over+rules%2c+requirements%2c+etc%2e+place+students+in+their+squad+seats+and+then+do+some+fun+mixing+up+activities+to+see+if+they+can+remember+their+seats%2e+For+example%2c+we+send+our+four+squads+to+the+4+different+corners+of+the+gym+and+tell+them+to+line+up+tallest+to+smallest+and+we+play+a+song+for+about+2+minutes%2c+see+how+they+are+coming+along%2e+You+may+have+to+help+them%2c+declare+a+winner+which+group+did+it+first+and+tell+them+they+have+5+seconds+to+get+back+to+their+seats%2e+Count+down%2e+You+can+use+other+ideas%2c+such+as+Birthday+month%2c+alphabetically+by+first+name%2c+etc%2e
