158 If+we+bore+students+to+death%2c+how+can+we+expect+that+they+will+be+lifetime+wellness+enthusiasts%3f++Yes%2c+I+agree+with+you%2e++We+would+be+missing+the+boat+if+we+didn%27t+give+them+the+tools+for+physical+fun%2c+whether+that+means+teaching+activities+that+require+eye%2dhand+coordination+or+those+that+require+grace+and+balance%2e++Each+will+have+his+or+her+own+favorite+method+of+staying+fit+and+in+shape+when+they+leave+us%2c+unless+of+course%2c+we+are+so+single+minded+that+we+never+teach+them+anything+but+monitoring+their+heart%2c+their+strength+and+their+fat+composition%2e
245 I+would+agree+totally+with+the+two+last+contributors%2e+If+we+do+not+continue+to+develop+the+skills+that+students+need+to+participate+in+exercise+%28albeit+sport+or+aerobics+or+whatever%29+we+are+failing+in+our+role+as+PE+educators%2e+PE+should+not+solely+be+about+Health+anymore+than+it+should+be+solely+about+sport+or+dance%2e+Furthermore%2c+it+is+possible+to+push+students+to+become+so+preoccupied+with+their+weight+and+heart+rate+monitoring+etc%2e%2e+that+there+over%2danxiety+becomes+anything+but+healthy%2e+Plus%2c+there+are+those+students+whose+long%2dterm+enjoyment+of+exercise+and+lifestyle+WILL+include+sports+activity+and+what+is+so+wrong+with+that%2e+A+little+of+everything+goes+a+long+way%21
