This book is intended for the middle and high school PE instructor. There is a nice list of references in the back of the book that are excellent resources. Tactics and a cognitive approach are emphasized. The chapters are organized into various levels (1-5) which then has lessons under each. I feel the presentation achieves its purpose due to its excellent organization At the beginning of each chapter there is a chart that contains tactical problems and movements of that particular sport. It really introduces the reader what to expect within the chapter. I would say the organization is superb. Each chapter contains charts and diagrams which enhances the presentation. The presentation was very clear. I particularly enjoyed the objectives and the question/answer section within the lessons. I would encourage the use of this book to colleagues who are teaching one of the sports covered in the book or teaching a sport for the first time. Excellent book!
