Author Guidelines

Mission of PELINKS4U

PELINKS4U encourages submissions from physical and health educators, coaches, and other individuals interested in promoting healthy and active lifestyles.

Publication Opportunities

PELINKS4U invites the submission of articles that have practical relevance for school physical education teachers. These submissions may be research-based, but should have clearly practical implications for teaching or coaching. There are many alternative opportunities for submitting articles that are research focused.

PELINKS4U is especially interested in articles based on personal experience and practice. We recognize that many practitioners have interesting personal experiences and ideas that traditional professional journals might regard as too subjective for publication. PELINKS4U encourages the submission of well written essays and articles reflecting personal viewpoints and insights.

Currently, PELINKS4U publishes seven monthly sections:

Adapted Physical Education

Coaching & Sports

Elementary Physical Education

Health, Fitness, & Nutrition

Interdisciplinary Physical Education

Secondary Physical Education

Technology in Physical Education

Submissions should be directed to one of these sections.

PELINKS4U encourages international perspectives, that is, information on programs and practically oriented research occurring in countries other than the United States.

PELINKS4U also welcomes submissions that utilize technology that can be shared via the Internet. These might include: Powerpoint or other slide presentations; Quicktime videos; explanations and demonstrations of computer software; teaching aids including sample assessments; photographs; artwork; and other innovative ways to share information and stimulate professional discussion. Please contact PELINKS4U staff if you have questions about the appropriateness of possible submissions.
