PURPOSE: To design an obstacle course so it is safe, fun and not too tiring.
HYPOTHESIS: Make a statement about how you would order the stations, arranged according to the activity level and body emphasis (which muscles are used). _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
MATERIALS USED: beanbags, targets, spots, jump ropes, hanging ropes, mats, chairs, bungee cords, basketballs, scooters, balance boards, balls, cones, signs.
PROCEDURE:
OBSERVATIONS
Passive (P)/Active (A)
1. BEANBAGS
P- Toss the beanbag through the hole of the target while standing on the spot.A- Starting at the spot, run and put the beanbag through the hole, run back and get another and repeat.
2. LINE TO LINE
P- Walk from one line to the other.A- Run from one line to the other line while touching it at the same time.
3. CURL UPS
P- Do one curl up, with knees bent, count to 5 and repeat.
A- Do continuous curl ups with knees bent, hands sliding up the thighs.
4. SWINGING ROPES
P- Swing across on rope and walk back.A- Swing across on the rope and run back.
5. SCOOTERS
P- Lie on the scooter on your stomach and move forward to cones and turn around and go back.A- Take the scooter, run and jump on your stomach, turn around and slide back.
6. PUSH UPS LINE TO LINE
P- In a partial push up position (on knees, long torso, buttocks down). Put one hand over line followed by the other and then bring them both back 1 at a time. (Over, over, back, back)A- In a push up position put one hand over the line followed by the other and then bring them back 1 at a time. (Over, over, back, back)
7. MATS VAULTING
P- Climb over the mats, walk around and repeat.A- Run and vault over the mats, run back and repeat.
8. BALANCE BOARD

9. ARMY ROPES
P- Crawl under ropes, walk back, and repeat.A- Step over the ropes, run back and repeat.
10. SOCCER DRIBBLE
P- Dribble the ball in and out of cones while walking, walk back and repeat.A- Dribble the ball in and out of cones while running, run back and repeat.
11. BASKETBALL SHOOTING
P- Shoot ball, walk back and shoot again.A- Shoot ball, rebound, run back to spot and shoot again.
12. JUMP ROPE
P- Put rope on the floor and step over it, back and forth.A- Jump rope as fast as you can, continuously.
CONCLUSION:
Did you clearly achieve the purpose by designing an obstacle course that is safe, fun and not too tiring? Did you explain whether or not your hypothesis was correct? You may put your design and reasons on the bottom of this paper, along with your graph.
