Long Base

Equipment needed:

Skill Development:

Long base (demonstrate game inside before you play outside)
- All in groups of 4-5
  - One tee, one ball and 2 cones for bases
  - Set up 2 same colored tees in line with the tee about 20 feet and 40 feet away from the tee
- Batting team hits the ball off the tee
  - Batter then runs around the cone(s)
    - If they go around the first cone and make it back to the tee before they are out, they get one point
    - If they go around the second cone and make it back to the tee before they are out, they get two points
- Fielding team has to get ball and all stand in a straight line behind the player that got the ball
  - They have to pass the ball over &endash;under-over-under… until the ball gets to the end of the line
  - They then call "OUT!"
    - If they say "OUT" before the runner gets back home, no points are scored
- Switch after everyone on the batting team has had a turn
- Alternate teams every 5-7 minutes
