Purpose:
For students to identify, examine, and analyze their sporting, leisure and recreation pursuits and present results as a pictorial collage.

Directions:
On a large piece of construction paper, create a collage of images that depict your involvement in leisure, sport, and recreational activities. Refer to various magazines for images; cut out those that best represent you. Paste or tape them onto the sheet of construction paper in any kind of eye-appealing manner. You may label any images for clarity. Be sure to write your name in large letters and centered at the top and supply a title for your poster.

Upon Submission:
Have students present their work to the class or in small groups or have students examine someone else’s poster and write a paragraph describing what messages the poster conveys. Hang all posters from the walls or ceiling of the class or gymnasium. Repeat every other year to see how students’ self-image changes over time.
