 Editorial

Welcome to "Adapted PE" on PELINKS4U. This issue focuses on assessment. This topic has been discussed at different times on the APE listserves. Both general physical educators and adapted physical educators should understand assessment as it relates to planning and programming for students with disabilities. There are three main components that one should be familiar with on the topic of assessment; the legal mandates for assessment, assessment tools, and programming based upon the assessment.

The links on this page are to assist all physical educators with their understanding of assessment, conduction of assessments, and implementation of assessment results for individuals with disabilities. Remember that assessment is the foundation of programming.
