Support the PEP! - E-mail Your Senator
At the recent AAHPERD Convention in Orlando we heard several times about the progress of the Physical Education for Progress Act (PEP). $400 million is being requested to support quality PE programs. Currently, 18 senators are supporting the proposed bill, but many more are needed to ensure success. Is YOUR senator a supporter? Visit NASPE's PEP web page and check. At the WeNeedPE web site there is a form letter you can e-mail directly to your senator urging support. Please urge colleagues, parents, and students to visit this site and complete the easy-to-submit form. This is a critical time. If we delay, this opportunity will be lost. Please act TODAY!
